The following Sedalia Police and Pettis County Sheriff's crime reports are from the morning of Friday, August 29, 2014.
Thefts and Property Damage Reported
A man in the 300 Block of East Saline reported to Sedalia Police that someone stole two Tablets, valued at $250 each, and a cell phone, valued at $300, from his home.
An employee of Wood's reported to Sedalia Police that someone stole $47.38 in items and tried to return the items, but wasn't able to and then left the store again with those items, yesterday (Aug. 28).
Pettis County Deputies received a report of a burglary not in progress, yesterday (Aug. 28). Some tools were stolen from a a shop in the 24000 Block of Highway D in Hughesville and there was damage done to the interior of one of the of vehicles.
Sedalia Polive investigated a reported case of child abuse in the 200 Block of West Avenue.
A woman from Lincoln, reported to Pettis County Deputies that her vehicle was damaged while it was parked at State Fair Community College on Aug. 26.
Found Items Turned Into Authorities
A book of checks were found underneath a vehicle in the 1000 Block of East 14th yesterday (Aug. 28).
A wallet was found in the Walmart parking lot and turned into the Pettis County Sheriff's Office for safekeeping.
Several Arrests Made
Pettis County Deputies arrested Michael Hutchinson for having a warrant out of Lafayette County, bond set at $15,000 cash or surety and a Saline County warrant, bond set at $1,500 cash or surety.
Sedalia Police arrested Collin Bressie for failure to appear, bond set at $88.50.
Sedalia Police arrested Robert Hunter for assault in the 2nd deegree, after hitting a neighbor with a shovel.
Sedalia Police arrested Heather Ashley, Robert Breshears and Shadow Huggins for domestic assault in the 3rd.
Sedalia Police arrested David Bailey for failure to appear.
