The following Sedalia Police and Pettis County Sheriff's crime reports are from the morning of Thursday, April 30, 2015.

A juvenile student at the Smith-Cotton High School was assaulted by another student. During the incident, the suspect threw a desk at the victim and struck him in the head. The School Resource Officer took the unnamed 17-year-old suspect into custody and placed him on 24-hour hold pending the filing of charges.

Sedalia Police received a report of a burglary from a business in the area of East Broadway and South Marshall, yesterday morning (April 29). The front door of the business had been broken and $425 in items were stolen.

A man reported to Pettis County Deputies that his identity was stolen. Someone opened a Bank of America credit card in his name, without his knowledge.

Sedalia Police found a suspicious vehicle that was parked behind Westlake's Hardware after hours, last night (April 29). Sedalia Police found two men walking on the north side of the business. One man was found to have a small marijuana pipe. Walter Nicholson was issued a summons for possession of the marijuana pipe.

Sedalia Police arrested Daniel Strunk for failure to appear-felony, bond set at $10,000 cash/surety.

Sedalia Police arrested Christopher Vieth for two charges of failure to appear-misdemeanor, bond set at $1,500 cash/surety.

Sedalia Police arrested Joshua Linares for failure to appear, bond set at $88.50 cash.
