The following Sedalia Police and Pettis County Sheriff's crime reports are from the morning of Tuesday, August 19, 2014.

Sedalia Fire Department and Police Department Respond To Fire

Yesterday (Aug. 18), Sedalia Police received a report via the Sedalia Fire Department of a garage on fire in the 200 Block of West Cooper. The Sedalia Fire Department determined that it was a controlled burn of building materials from a garage that had been torn down. A burn permit was not applied for and a court summons was issued.

Several Thefts Reported

A woman in the 4200 Block of West Main reported to Sedalia Police that someone stole cash from her home on Aug. 17.

Two victims in the 600 Block of South Kentucky, reported to Sedalia Police that someone stole their wallets in the early morning hours of August 16.

An employee of Colton's reported to Sedalia Police that two glass mugs were stolen from the restaraunt.

A manager from Oats, Inc. reported to Sedalia Police that someone stole two matching license plate stickers.

Yesterday (Aug. 18), a man in the 4400 Block of Wisconsin reported to Sedalia Police that someone walked out of the store with an air compressor, without paying yesterday.

A woman in the 600 Block of South Lafayette reported to Sedalia Police yesterday (Aug. 18), that someone damaged her driver side rear view mirror, between 3 pm on Aug. 17 and 11 am on Aug. 18.

Yesterday (Aug. 18), Sedalia Police went to the 500 Block of East 5th in regard to a disturbance. Two victims reported to Sedalia Police that a subject came up to them and wished to fight both of them. The subject left the area prior to Sedalia Police's arrival.

Two Arrests Made

Sedalia Police arrested Shannon Spruell for assault, bond set at $522.50.

Sedalia Police arrested William Staten for domestic assault in the 3rd.
