Around 1:30 Monday afternoon (Oct 3), Sedalia Police officers were on patrol when they noticed two subjects walking down the street. Officers knew one of the men had a warrant. When officers made contact, the suspect ran away. Officers spoke with the other man and ran his information through dispatch. The man was identified as 19-year old Austin S. Gruber. He had a felony warrant out of Kansas City. Gruber was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail, with a bond of $2,500.00. There were no other details listed in that report.

 

Around 2:40 Monday afternoon (Oct 3), Sedalia Police officers conducted a subject check in the 300 block of North Prospect Avenue. Contact was made with the suspect and it was confirmed that he had a Pettis County warrant. 32-year old Christopher Albert Veith was arrested for the warrant and taken to the Pettis County Jail, with a bond of $3,500.00, cash or surety.

 

Last Friday morning (Sept 30), around 7:30, Sedalia Police conducted a warrant check in the 1800 block of South Grand Avenue. Contact was made with the suspect and a warrant from Boone County was confirmed. 44-year old Michael L. McDonald was arrested for the warrant and taken to the Pettis County Jail, with a bond of $4,500.00, cash or surety.

Tuesday afternoon (Oct 4), Pettis County Sheriff's deputies arrested 33-year old Tara M. Karkiewicz in the 1900 block of South New York Avenue, for being a Fugitive From Justice. Karkiewicz was placed on a 24-hour hold in the Pettis County Jail, pending formal charges and extradition.
