Saturday morning (June 4th), around 9:30, Sedalia Police officers responded to the 1800 block of South Vermont Avenue, for a reported assault. The caller stated he received a call from his sister, stating that her boyfriend had beaten her up. Officers noticed apparent minor injuries to the woman’s face and head. She was treated and released. The suspect, 24-year old Michael Ray Carpenter, was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail, pending charges of 3rd degree domestic assault.


Around 1:40, Saturday morning (June 4th), officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of 10th Street and South Engineer Avenue. 21-year old, Paige E. Wilkinson, was arrested for 2 outstanding warrants. One of the warrants was from Pettis County for a probation violation for larceny. The other warrant was from Morgan County for failure-to-appear. Total bond was set at $4,510.00, cash or surety. Wilkinson was taken to the Pettis County Jail.


Just after 8:00 Thursday morning (June 2nd), officers took a report of property damage at the Pettis County Ambulance District Building, located at 210 West 4th Street. Someone had thrown eggs on the victim’s vehicle. Security camera footage is being reviewed to identify a suspect.


Just after Noon, on Sunday (June 5th), officers on patrol in the area of West 10th and South Osage Avenue, recognized a man who was known to have an active warrant from Pettis County. His information was relayed to dispatch and it was confirmed that the warrant was for felony stealing. 25-year old Zachary D. Palmer was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail, with a bond set at $5,000.00, cash or surety.


Just before 10:00 Saturday night (June 4th), Sedalia Police officers were dispatched to the Pettis County/Henry County Line for a warrant check. Contact was made with the suspect and dispatch confirmed the man had an active failure-to-appear warrant. 26-year old Levi G. Markes, of Windsor, was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail with a bond set at $150.00, cash only.


Just after 10:00 Sunday night (June 5th), officers were dispatched to the Benton County/Pettis County Line, for a warrant check. Dispatch confirmed the woman had an active municipal failure-to-appear warrant. 26-year old Lacy Ralene Sutton, of Stover, was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail with a bond set at $200.00, cash only.


On Sunday (June 5th), Pettis County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Shawn Becker for an active warrant.


On Sunday (June 5th), deputies arrested Andrew R. Simmons, of Sedalia, after a slow-speed pursuit. Charges are being requested for: driving while revoked, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, possession of marijuana, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and felon in possession of a firearm. Simmons was placed on a 24-hour hold in the Pettis County Jail.


On Thursday (June 2nd), an employee at Parkhurst Manufacturing Company, reported to deputies that three checks had been forged and passed using the company account. The investigation is ongoing….
