Sedalia Police TASER a subject

Saturday (June 1), Sedalia Police went to the 1000 Block of East 13th for a disturbance in progress. The suspect was located in front of the home and began yelling at officers. The suspect told Sedalia Police that he was going to force them to arrest them. The suspect threatened officers with a large metal flashlight and was tasered. The suspect continued to resist officers until he was wrapped. David Schloons was arrested for assault on a law enforcement officer in the 2nd and 3rd degree and resisting arrest.

Pettis County Deputies Respond to report of animal cruelty

Pettis County Deputies took a report of animal cruelty in the 500 Block of North Magnolia Street in Green Ridge.

Several Thefts Reported

A man in the 4100 Block of West Main reported to Sedalia Police that two cell phones and a vehicle registration valued at $650 was stolen from his unlocked vehicle.

A man reported to Sedalia Police that he parked his 2001 Chevy Silverado at Yeager's on the night of May 30 and when he returned the next morning, he found a passenger window was broken and a stereo, two 10" kicker speakers and a 1000 watt Alpine Amp was stolen from the truck.

A man reported to Sedalia Police that someone stole $20 in cash and a package of cigarettes while parked at the Thompson Hills Shopping Center during May 31. The vehicle was reportedly unlocked.

A man in the 27000 Block of Highway U reported to Pettis County Deputies that someone stole property.

McKinney Auto at 2701 East Broadway reported to Sedalia Police that two vehicles on the lot were either damaged or had some theft from them between 4 p.m. on May 29 and 8 a.m. on May 30.

Saturday morning (June 1), Sedalia Police went to the area of 15th and Ohio for a report of a fire hydrant that had been struck by a car that left the scene of the accident.

Several Arrests Made

Pettis County Deputies responded to the 32000 Block of Van Dyke Road and 3100 Block of Brooke Park Avenue on reports of a physical domestic disturbance.

Sedalia Police arrested Jodie Thorsen for a Platte County failure to appear, bond set at $1,000 cash only.

Sedalia Police arrested Briar Smith for a Boone County failure to appear, bond set at $97 cash only.

Sedalia Police arrested Crystal Dotson for a failure to appear out of Pettis County, bond set at $94 cash only.

Sedalia Police arrested Chad Marcum for possession of 35 grams or less of marijuana.

Sedalia Police arrested Brett Maler-Norton for a probation and parole warrant.

Sedalia Police arrested John Nevels for driving while intoxicated.

Pettis County Deputies arrested Erica Patterson for driving while revoked.

Pettis County Deputies arrested Kristopher Harvey out of Smithton for an active warrant.
