Pettis County Deputies Carry Out a Sting

Yesterday (May 22), Pettis County Deputies served a search warrant at 1701 South Summit and found drug paraphernalia and a small amount of methamphetamine. One juvenile was taken into custody and later released to juvenile authorities. The case is considered on going.

Sedalia Police Investigate a Reported Case of Child Molestation

Sedalia Police are investigating a report of child molestation that happened recently.

Several Thefts Reported

A woman in the area of South Osage and West 2nd reported to Sedalia Police that a brownish gold 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee was stolen yesterday between 12:30 and 7 p.m.

A man in the 1800 Block of West 11th reported to Sedalia Police that a Garmin Nuvi 360 valued at $150 was stolen from his vehicle between 11 p.m. on May 21 and 8 a.m. on May 22.

A woman in the 400 Block of South Grand reported to Sedalia Police that someone stole aluminum cans and a phone on May 19.

Walmart reported to Sedalia Police that there were two subjects that stole items from the store and fraudulently returned them.

A man in the area of South Lamine and East Cooper reported to Sedalia Police that he was bit by a dog yesterday (May 22). The dog has been quarantined at the home.

Several Arrests Made

Sedalia Police arrested John Nevels for driving while revoked and stealing from Walmart, bond set at $533.50.

Sedalia Police arrested Kelly Power for failure to appear for an assault, bond set at $88.50 cash.

Sedalia Police arrested James Miller for failure to appear, bond set at $88.50.

Sedalia Police arrested Jacob Hull for having no operator's license.

Sedalia Police arrested Wedny Metcalf for having a parole warrant.
