Sedalia Police Investigate a Hit & Run

Saturday (Mar. 16) afternoon, a 18-year-old reported to Sedalia Police that he was walking northbound on State Fair Boulevard and crossed 11th Street, when a vehicle that failed to yield to him struck him and knocked him over. The striking vehicle fled the scene without providing information. The victim complained of pain to his left leg.

Sedalia Police Investigates Two Assaults

Sedalia Police is investigating a reported case of sexual assault that occurred yesterday (Mar. 17) in the 700 Block of East 10th. A suspect was arrested, but was not formally charged as of press time.

Sedalia Police is investigating an assault that occurred in the 600 Block of North Quincy last night (Mar. 17).

Several Thefts Reported

A man in the 500 Block of West Wilkerson reported to Sedalia Police that someone broke in and stole $1,270 in items between 4:45 p.m. on Mar. 15 and 3:35 a.m. on Mar. 16.

A woman in the 800 Block of West 16th reported to Sedalia Police that a Dell laptop valued at $800 was stolen between 4 p.m. on Mar. 15 and 2:45 a.m. on Mar. 16.

A man from Longwood on Highway BB reported to Pettis County Deputies that someone stole 20 antique turnstiles, metal siding, a riding lawn mower and a sickle mower sometime since Nov. 1, 2012.

A man in the 700 Block of McVey Road reported to Pettis County Deputies that someone stole a 50-foot antenna valued at $200 sometime since Jan. 31.

Jacee's Express reported to Sedalia Police that there was a $22.55 gas drive off on Friday (Mar. 15) at 4:55 p.m.

Wood's Express reported to Sedalia Police that there was a $20.02 gas drive off on Friday (Mar. 15) at 1:55 p.m.

Casey's at 1909 West Main reported to Sedalia Police that a $10 gas drive off on Saturday (Mar. 16) at 3:40 p.m.

Several Arrests Made

Sedalia Police arrested Rayquan Townsend for being in possession of marijuana and having a Pettis County warrant, bond set at $10,000 cash/surety.

Sedalia Police arrested Billy Brown for driving while suspended, bond set at $533.50 cash/surety.

Sedalia Police arrested Anthony Gardner for property damage done at the American Inn, bond set at $533.50 cash/surety.

Sedalia Police arrested Lisa Curry for failure to appear, bond set at $88.50 cash.

Sedalia Police arrested Alexandria Bates for driving while suspended.

Pettis County Deputies arrested 33-year-old Bobby Johnson on an active warrant for driving while revoked, possession of a controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia.
