Sedalia woman receives a text about child abuse Monday night

At 9:49 Monday night, Sedalia police investigated a possible child abuse case that was reported by a Sedalia woman. According to the person filing the report, she had been texting with a person she met online, when he texted he was going to abuse his daughter. The suspect reportedly lives in Atlanta, Ga. The incident is under investigation.

Pettis County Sheriff’s Deputies investigate a theft from a motor vehicle 

Just before 4:00 Sunday afternoon. Pettis County Sheriff’s Deputies investigated a theft from a motor vehicle that took place in the 4200 block of West Main. According to the female victim, a wallet was stolen from a vehicle while it was parked in the Sunset Trailer Park. There are no suspects at news time.
