On Friday morning, Sedalia Police observed a black Ford Escape parked at the Tiger Express Car Wash, 4211 Wisconsin Avenue.

Officers ran the license plate, which came back stolen out of Overland Park, Kansas. Officers made contact with the suspect, and detained him pending further investigation.

Officers ran the VIN of the vehicle.

Dispatch advised that the vehicle was entered as stolen. Dispatch confirmed the plates had been stolen out of Overland Park, and the vehicle was confirmed stolen out of Platte County, Mo.

After further investigation, marijuana and methamphetamine were located in the vehicle. The vehicle was towed, and is being held pending further processing by Platte County.

Nathan W. Green, 29, Homeless, was placed under arrest and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was placed on a 24-hour hold.

State charges of Tampering with a Motor Vehicle in the 1st Degree, Receiving Stolen Property, Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine), Possession of Marijuana, and Driving While Suspended are being filed.
