Here are your Sedalia Police crime reports and Missouri State Highway Patrol accident reports for the afternoon of Nov. 13, 2013.Suspects sought in a 2nd degree assault case

At 1:00 this morning, an assault victim filed a complaint at the Sedalia Police Station. According to the complainant, he was smoking outside Friendly's Tavern on West Main St., and walked around the corner at Main and Osage where he met two individuals. One of the individuals struck the victim with his fists, rendering him unconscious. The victim said when he regained consciousness he was in the bathroom at Friendly’s with staff members cleaning his face, which had several abrasions. The police report states the victim sought medical treatment later after realizing his injuries were more extensive than he first thought. The suspects had not been located at the time of the police report.

Thieves target a rental house on South Washington

Just after 2:00 Tuesday afternoon, Sedalia police took a burglary complaint from a complainant at a rental house in the 600 block of South Washington. The complainant told the officers that someone entered the house and stole the water pipes and faucets from two kitchens and two bathrooms sometime over the past month. Also missing were several heat registers according to the complainant. There were no suspects at news time.

Odessa woman receives minor injuries in a Johnson County accident

At 6:15 this morning, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a one-vehicle accident on Missouri 131 at Northwest 1000 Road in Johnson County. According to the report, the accident occurred as the driver of a 2001 Hyundai, 29-year-old Melissa Echaves of Odessa failed to negotiate a curve and travelled off the roadway. The vehicle struck a mailbox and a ditch, then overturned, coming to rest on its top. Eschaves received minor injuries but refused treatment at the scene.
