Here is your Sedalia Police crime report for the afternoon of July 17, 2012.

50-year-old Sedalia man in jail for peace disturbance Monday afternoon

Around 3 o'clock Monday afternoon, Sedalia police arrested 50-year-old Leroy Leffler at a residence in the 1500 block of East 13th on a peace disturbance charge. The arrest reportedly occurred after Leffler made comments to a female victim that she said made her sick and afraid. Leffler was taken to the Pettis County Jail pending further action on a charge of private peace disturbance.

 

17-year-old Green Ridge girl arrested at Walmart for shoplifting

At 2:39 Monday afternoon, Sedalia police were called to the Walmart Store on a shoplifter. Upon arrival, asset protection personnel told them the 17-year-old suspect left the store with an item in her purse that she did not pay for. The suspect, a female from Green Ridge, was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail pending a bond of $531.50.

 

Vandals cause over $1000 in property damage on South Stewart

At 6:25 Monday evening, Sedalia police were dispatched to the 200 block of South Stewart on a report of property damage. Upon arrival, the victim told the officers the windshield and rear window of his vehicle valued at $1000 had been shot by what appeared to be a BB gun. The police report states paintings that were sitting on the porch also had holes in them. There is one possible suspect in the case.

 

A plethora of failure to appear warrants served on Monday

At 7:21 Monday night, 20-year-old Daniel Brown of Sedalia was arrested for failure to appear on a City of Sedalia Warrant, his bond was set at $200 cash only.

At 6 o'clock Monday evening, 25-year-old Audrey Dawson of Sedalia was arrested on an active city warrant. Her bond is $88.50 cash.

Around 7:20 Monday night, 20-year-old Shelddon Harvey of Smithton was arrested on a failure to appear warrant. His bond is $88.50 cash.

24-year-old Dana Green of Sedalia was arrested on a Sedalia failure to appear warrant, with a bond of $88.50 cash only.

27-year-old Eugene Sharp of Sedalia was arrested during a warrant check for failure to appear warrant for back fines. Bond set at $50 cash.
