Here is your Sedalia Police Crime Report for the afternoon of June 28, 2012.

Suspect found in the ER during a burglary investigation

Just after 4 o'clock Wednesday morning Sedalia police responded to an alarm at the Stereo Clinic located at 424 South Osage. Upon arrival officers found a front window broken out. The police report states blood was found on pieces of the broken glass, where the suspect had apparently cut himself. A short time later the police received information of a subject in the Bothwell Hospital ER being treated for cut wounds. The police report states based on video surveillance information, 26-year-old Paul Smith was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail, where he was placed on 24-hour hold pending formal charges.

 

Male suspect arrested during a a check of two men walking in the middle of the street

Just after midnight this morning, Sedalia police stopped two male subjects walking in the middle of the street in the area of 13th and Kentucky. An investigation revealed one of the subjects, identified as 29-year-old Travis Rousan of Sedalia, was in possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. At the time of the police report, Rousan was on 24-hour hold at the Pettis County Jail pending charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and tampering with physical evidence.

 

37-year-old Sedalia woman arrested for driving while revoked this morning

Early this morning, Sedalia police stopped a vehicle at 16th and Ohio for non-functioning taillights. Upon contact with the driver, 37-year-old Sheri Lambert of Sedalia, she was found to be revoked. Lambert was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail, and placed on 24-hour hold pending charges of driving while revoked.

 

Sedalia man arrested Wednesday night on a failure to appear warrant

Around 10:30 Wednesday night, Sedalia police arrested 49-year-old Luis Solis of Sedalia on a failure to appear warrant out of Higginsville.  At the time of the police report, Solis was in the Pettis County Jail pending a $1500 bond.

 

Victim in the 300 block of East Booneville reports a theft, and property damage

Sunday morning, a victim in the 300 block of East Booneville reported a burglary and property damage to the Sedalia Police Department. According to the victim, he suspects two female subjects of entering his home and stealing his $300 cell phone. The victim said the women also did $800 worth of damage to the property. An investigation is ongoing according to the police report.

 

$800 BMX bike stolen from a vehicle in the 1100 block of South Moniteau Wednesday night

At 10 o'clock Wednesday night Sedalia police investigated the theft of a 20" BMX Bicycle. According to the victim, the bicycle valued at $800 was taken from the rear seat of a vehicle parked in front of the residence. There were no suspects at news time.
