The following Sedalia Police crime reports are from the afternoon of May 1, 2013.

Traffic stop early this (Wednesday) morning results in arrest for a Sedalia man

Just after midnight this (Wednesday) morning, Sedalia police stopped a vehicle in the 300 block of West 3rd for an equipment violation. Upon contact with the driver, 46-year-old Sherwood Limback of Sedalia, he was found to have a Benton County warrant for failure to appear. A subsequent search revealed Limback was also in possession of methamphetamine. At the time of the police report, Limback was on 24-hour hold in the Pettis County Jail pending charges of possession of a controlled substance and a $1000 bond on the warrant.

Sedalia man arrested for a violation of a full order of protection Tuesday afternoon

At 4:48 on Tuesday afternoon, Sedalia police arrested 28-year-old James Boslaugh of Sedalia for a violation of a full order of protection. Boslaugh was taken to the Pettis County Jail and placed on 24-hour hold pending state charges.

30-year-old female victim reports being assaulted while jogging at Katy Park

Around 5:30 Tuesday evening, Sedalia police responded to the Bothwell Hospital Emergency Room on a reported assault. Upon arrival, the 30-year-old female victim told the officers she was shoved into a ditch while she was jogging at Katy Park. The victim said she knew the female suspect but only by her first name. There was no other information available at news time.

Burglary complaint filed  by a male victim in the 2400 block of West Main

At 3:15 this (Wednesday) morning, a victim in the 2400 block of West Main filed a burglary complaint with the Sedalia police department. According to the victim, someone had entered his home through a window sometime earlier in the morning. The suspect reportedly left behind a shirt and stole several bottles of medication. There were no suspects at news time.
