The following Sedalia Police crime reports are from the afternoon of Aug. 22, 2013.

Traffic stop Wednesday night results in drug charges for a Houstonia woman

Just before 8:30 Wednesday night, Sedalia police stopped a vehicle at Liberty Park Blvd. and Limit Ave. for no license plate and failing to signal for a turn. Upon contact with the driver, officers found the driver was in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Arrested at the scene was 24-year-old Tanya Brandkamp of Houstonia. Brankamp was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail pending formal charges.

Teen arrested for theft of alcohol and minor in possession

At 8:01 Wednesday night, Sedalia police responded to Plaza 16 at 120 East 16th on a theft complaint. Upon arrival, officers arrested 17-year-old Michael Martin of Sedalia for stealing alcohol and being a minor in possession. The police report states Martin admitted he also stole alcohol from the store on the 11th of August 2013. At the time of the police report Martin was in the Pettis County Jail pending bonds totaling $1067.

License plates stolen from a vehicle in a garage

On Wednesday afternoon, a woman in the 1200 block of West 3rd reported that her license plates were stolen from her vehicle while it was parked in her garage. There were no suspects.
