Sedalia police arrest two teens on property damage complaints

Around 4:30 Tuesday morning, Sedalia police investigated a property damage complaint in the 1100 block of East 13th. According to the victim, he was in his house when he heard a loud bang, and when he came out of his house he saw a man running. The victim also saw the driver’s side window and the windshield was broken out of his car. The victim reportedly followed the suspects to a residence in the 1000 block of east 13th, which was listed as his address in the police report. Two suspects were found hiding in the backyard of their residence and were arrested. The suspects, 17-year-old Caleb Bartlett and 19-year-old Samuel Bartlett were transported to the Pettis County Jail pending bonds of $533.50 each.

Investigation of a suspect who was reportedly suicidal ends in arrest

At 3:20 this morning, Sedalia police were dispatched to an apartment in the 1300 block of South Ohio on a reported suicidal female who had allegedly cut her wrists. The 29-year-old female reportedly spit in an APSI person’s face and resisted arrest. The woman was taken to the Pettis County jail and was placed on 24-hour hold pending charges following an evaluation.

Domestic assault results in arrest for an 18-year-old female Tuesday night

At 8:45 Tuesday night, Sedalia police responded to a residence in the 900 block west 11th  in reference to a domestic assault. Upon arrival, the victim and a witness told officers that 18-year-old Jessica Hendrix of Sedalia, the victim’s sister, struck her brother with her fist. At the time of the police report, Hendrix was on 24-hour hold in the Pettis County jail pending formal charges.

Theft complaint filed early this morning on East 6th

Just after 3:30 this morning, Sedalia police took a theft complaint from a victim in the 400 block of East 6th Street. According to the victim, someone entered her residence sometime between 1:30 and 3:00 this morning and took a laptop, a camera, a bracelet and four DVDs. Value of the stolen items was placed at $2150. The police report states the victim listed numerous possible suspects in the thefts.
