25-year-old Sedalia man arrested after being stopped for walking in the roadway
At 4:16 this morning Sedalia police observed a man walking in the middle of the street at Broadway and New York in violation of a city ordinance. An investigation revealed the suspect, 25-year-old Carlos Staten of Sedalia, was in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. At the time of the police report, Staten was on 24-hour hold in the Pettis County jail pending formal charges.
Georgia man reports a GPS is stolen from his rental vehicle
Around 7:45 this morning, a victim from Norcross Georgia filed a theft from a motor vehicle complaint with the Sedalia Police Department. The victim told officers the theft of a GPS from his rental vehicle took place overnight from the parking lot6 of a local motel where he was staying. The police report states after viewing security tapes however they believe the theft took place at another location. There were no suspects.
