The following Sedalia Police crime reports are from the afternoon of Sept. 9, 2013.

Female suspect arrested Sunday night following a disturbance call

Just after 10:00 Sunday night, Sedalia police investigated a disturbance in the 800 block of East Broadway. Upon arrival, the caller told officers a suspect was following them in a truck. The police report states the truck was located, and the suspect, identified as 26-year-old Tiffany Howe of Sedalia, jumped from the truck and ran. Howe was located and apprehended a short time later. At the time of the police report, Howe was on 24-hour hold in the Pettis County Jail pending charges if driving while revoked and resisting arrest.

Sedalia woman with six warrants arrested Friday afternoon

At 1:13 Friday afternoon, Sedalia police stopped a vehicle at 9th and Center with a suspect with six warrants. Upon contact with the suspect, 21-year-old Amanda McAteer of Sedalia, the warrants were confirmed through dispatch. McAteer was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail pending total bonds of $4698 on the warrants.

Sedalia man arrested Saturday morning on a warrant

Around 10:30 Saturday morning, Sedalia police responded to a residence in the 1200 block of Maple Lane on a suspect with an active warrant. Upon arrival, 49-year-old Art Williams of Sedalia was arrested and taken to the Pettis county Jail pending a $3000 bond on an active Newton County Warrant.

Man arrested after his vehicle hits a sign post on Thompson Blvd.

At 2:29 Saturday afternoon, Sedalia Police were dispatched to a vehicle that ran off the roadway in the 900 block of Thompson Blvd. Upon arrival, the driver of the vehicle which had ran off of the roadway told officers he had lost a wheel on his vehicle. A further investigation revealed the man, identified as 22-year-old Edgar Carlos of Sedalia, was intoxicated and had struck a signpost at 11th and Thompson Blvd. Carlos was arrested and taken to the Pettis County jail pending a $533.50 bond on a charge of driving while intoxicated.

Car Motorcycle accident investigated Saturday morning

Around 10:50 Saturday morning, Sedalia police investigated an accident in the 1600 block of South Limit involving a car and a motorcycle. Following an investigation, officers arrested 33-year-old Lyle Walker of Sedalia on a charge of driving while suspended. Bond on the charge was set at $533.50.

Suspect arrested Saturday afternoon  on a probation violation warrant

At 1:00 Saturday afternoon, Sedalia police arrested 40-year-old Christopher Hickey of Sedalia at the Sedalia Police Department for a Pettis County Warrant for a probation and parole violation. At the time of the police report, Hickey was in the Pettis County Jail pending a $1500 bond.

Two suspects with warrants arrested early this (Monday) morning

Just after midnight this morning, Sedalia police observed two subjects walking in the 1000 block of South Stewart. A check through dispatch revealed both suspects had municipal failure to appear warrants out of Sedalia. At the time of the police report, 31-year-old Thomas Richards and 30-year-old Jennifer Hammonds, both of Sedalia, were in the Pettis County Jail pending cash only bonds of $150 each.

Suspect flees the scene but leaves drugs behind

At 5:29 Saturday morning, Sedalia police stopped a vehicle at 11th and Grand for disobeying a stop sign. The driver reportedly exited the vehicle, fled the area and was not apprehended. The police report states crack cocaine rocks and ecstasy were found in the vehicle. The suspect is known and is being sought on multiple charges.

Plaza 16 at 16th and Ohio reported the theft of a $10 pair of sunglasses Saturday afternoon. The suspect has not been located at news time.
