37-year-old Sedalia Woman arrested for child neglect and warrants Wednesday
On Wednesday morning, Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 1300 block of South Ohio in reference to a child investigation. Upon arrival, officers made contact with two children who were left alone. At 12:05 Wednesday afternoon, officers made contact with the mother of the children, identified as 37-year-old Brandy King of Sedalia. King was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where she was placed on 24-hour hold pending formal charges of two counts of child neglect. King was also found to have an active warrant for failure to appear on a traffic offense out of Cass County with a cash only bond of $4000.
Sedalia man arrested on 2 Cooper County Warrants
At 9 a.m. Wednesday morning Sedalia Police arrested 40-year-old Layard Taylor of Sedalia on two outstanding warrants out of Cooper County. Bond on the warrants was set at $300 cash only.
Grandfather reports a subject known to him abused his granddaughter
Around 1:45 Wednesday afternoon, Sedalia Police took a child abuse complaint that took place in the 400 block of South New York Avenue. According to the grandfather of the victim, a subject known to him had abused his granddaughter. The suspect had not been contacted at the time of the police report.
Woman reports her wallet stolen while she was at a local business
According to a female victim, her wallet was stolen on Wednesday afternoon while she was at a local shop. At the time of the police report, there were no suspects.
MSHP Reports a Johnson County accident Wednesday in Johnson County
At 5:20 Wednesday evening, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a two-vehicle accident on US 50 Highway at Northwest 151 Road in Johnson County. According to the report, the accident occurred as a 2011 Buick driven by 76-year-old Walter Pugsley of Lake Waukomis, Mo. entered US 50 from the median crossover and struck the 2007 Lincoln driven by 64-year-old Novella Perrin of Warrensburg on the driver’s side. Perrin suffered minor injuries in the crash and was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center by Johnson County Ambulance District.
