Sedalia woman arrested on a Montgomery County warrant this (Monday) morning

At 1:00 this (Monday) morning, Sedalia police responded to a residence on a suspect with a failure to appear warrant out of Montgomery County. Upon contact with the suspect, 30-year-old Joy Chapin, she was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail pending a $300 cash only bond.

Pettis County accident Sunday results in serious injuries for a Whiteman AFB man

At 3:18 Sunday afternoon, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported an injury accident on Route “U” North of Southwood Drive in Pettis County. The accident reportedly occurred as the 2002 Ford driven by 43-year-old Charles Bellamy of Sedalia was Southbound on “U” when the Northbound 2006 Suzuki Motorcycle driven by 23-year-old Kristopher Lloyd of Whiteman Air Force Base turned left into the path of the Bellamy vehicle. The motorcycle struck the Bellamy vehicle, ejecting Lloyd causing him serious injuries. Lloyd was taken to University of Missouri Hospital by Air Evac Helicopter for treatment.

Three male victims injured in a Henry County accident Friday

Just after 9:00 Friday night, three male victims were reported injured by the Missouri State Highway Patrol as a result of a two-vehicle accident that occurred on Highway “7” a mile East of County Road Southeast 571 in Henry County. The accident happened as a 1998 Dodge driven by 18-year-old Christopher Fitzpatrick of Clinton struck the 2005 Dodge driven by 52-year-old Paul Charron, also of Clinton, as it was making a turn onto Highway “7” from a private drive. Fitzpatrick received serious injuries and was taken to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital by EMS for treatment. Charron and a 23-year-old passenger in the Fitzpatrick vehicle reported minor injuries but refused treatment at the scene.

Three-vehicle accident in Pettis County injures two Smithton residents

Around 7:50 Saturday night the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a three vehicle accident on 50-Highway, and Missouri 135 in Pettis County. The accident occurred after the driver of a 2005 Mercury, 16-year-old Austin Voss of Tipton, passed the 2012 Ford driven by 73-year-old Richard McKiddy of Chula Missouri, and then immediately turned North onto Missouri 135. Mckiddy swerved, but still hit the Voss vehicle, causing both vehicles to impact a 2002 Chevrolet driven by 57-year-old Christine Matthews of Smithton. Matthews and her passenger, 64-year-old Ronald Matthews of Smithton, received moderate injuries and were transported by EMS to Bothwell Regional Health Center for treatment.

Moderate injuries reported in a Henry County accident Sunday morning

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a two-vehicle accident that occurred at 7:30 Sunday morning on Missouri 13 south of County Road 550 in Henry County. The accident report states that both vehicles involved were a total loss, as the 2005 Pontiac driven by 38-year-old Michele Pipes of Clinton crossed the center line and sideswiped the 2009 Chevrolet driven by 45-year-old Allen Mundy of Sibley and the unit it was towing.  Pipes received moderate injuries as her vehicle traveled off the roadway, and she was taken to Golden Valley Hospital for treatment. Mundy received minor injuries and refused treatment at the scene.

Marshall Woman injured in a Saline County rollover accident Saturday

At 6:30 Saturday evening, the Missouri State Highway patrol reported a one-vehicle accident on I-70 at mile marker 79 in Saline County accident. The accident happened as the 1995 Dodge driven by 71-year-old Ethel Short of Marshall slid off the right side of the roadway, struck an embankment and overturned several times. Short was wearing her seatbelt and received moderate injuries. She was taken to Fitzgibbons Hospital by Saline County EMS for treatment.
