Homeless man arrested on drug related charge during a traffic stop

At 2:24 this morning, Sedalia police stopped a vehicle at 5th and Vermont for failing to signal a turn and having a non-functioning license plate light. Upon contact with the driver, Jeremiah Mullins, he was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail pending multiple charges including drug related charges.

Sedalia man arrested on burglary and stealing charges

Around 7:30 this morning, Sedalia police were dispatched to a property in the 2900 block of West Broadway on a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, officers made contact with two suspects who had reportedly forcibly entered the building. One of the suspects, identified as 44-year-old Eric Monsees of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was placed on 24-hour hold pending charges of 2nd degree burglary, 2nd degree property damage and theft.

Chilhowee woman suffers minor injuries in a Johnson County accident

At 10:00 Tuesday morning, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a one-vehicle accident on Missouri Highway 2 just west of County Road Southwest 271 in Johnson County. The accident reportedly occurred as the driver of a 2003 Buick Century, 47-year-old Rhonda Steinmetz of Chillhowee, experienced a medical problem and lost control of her vehicle. The vehicle ran off the roadway and struck a concrete culvert. Steinmetz was wearing her seatbelt and received minor injuries. She was transported to the Golden Valley Hospital by Johnson County Ambulance District for treatment.
