Sedalia woman files a theft complaint against her former room mate

At 3:44 Monday afternoon, a female victim went to the Sedalia Police Department to report thefts from her residence. According to the victim, a former roommate took several items from her residence that did not belong to her. The stolen items included a laptop computer and were valued at $2000. The victim has provided suspect information to the Sedalia police.

Lafayette County accident injures a Higginsville man

Just after 5 p.m. Tuesday evening, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a one-vehicle accident on Highway “T” north of Aullville in Lafayette County. The accident occurred as the 2003 Chrysler driven by Candis Engle of Higginsville veered off the right side of the roadway and into a ditch after Engle reportedly heard a loud “Pop” noise. Engle was wearing her seat belt and suffered only minor injuries in the crash. She was taken to Lafayette Regional Hospital by Higginsville EMS for treatment.

14-year-old Lincoln female injured in a Benton County crash

At 9:34 this morning, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a two-vehicle accident on US 65 Highway and Oak Street in Benton County. The accident reportedly happened as the 1999 Dodge Caravan driven by 23-year-old Morgan Lovato of Lincoln attempted to cross both the northbound and southbound lanes of US-65 Highway. The Dodge Caravan traveled into the path of a 2000 Ford F350 driven by 45-year-old Cornelius Kauffman of Lincoln in the southbound lane and struck it in the rear. A passenger in the Lovato vehicle, 14-year-old Divinity Cordova of Lincoln, received minor injuries and was taken to Bothwell Regional health Center by Warsaw Lincoln EMS for treatment.
