The following Sedalia Police crime reports and Missouri State Highway Patrol accident reports are from the afternoon of Jan. 17, 2014.

 

20-year-old Sedalia woman arrested for failure to appear

At 1:51 Thursday afternoon, Sedalia Police made contact with a female subject in the area of 15th and Collins with a failure to appear warrant out of Pettis County. Following confirmation of the warrant, officers arrested 20-year-old Christina Reynolds of Sedalia and transported her to the Pettis County Jail pending a $2500 bond.

 

Man in the 1500 block of East 6th reports a burglary

Just before 3 a.m. this morning, Sedalia Police responded to a residence in the 1500 block of East 6th on a burglary complaint. Upon arrival, the victim told officers he woke to find someone in his home. The police report states the suspect had left the residence through the back door with approximately $376 in cash. There were no suspects at the time of the police report.

 

Pettis County accident seriously injures a Cole Camp woman Thursday

At 6:17 Thursday evening, the Missouri State Highway patrol reported a two-vehicle accident on Southbound 65 Highway at Sacajawea Road in Pettis County. According to the report, the accident occurred as the 1985 Chevrolet Truck driven by 29-year-old Donavan Meeks of Sedalia drove into the path of oncoming traffic while attempting to make a left turn. The 1994 Ford Mustang driven by 24-year-old Carolyn Lawson of Cole Camp then struck the Meek’s vehicle. Lawson, who was not wearing her seat belt, suffered serious injuries in the crash and was taken to the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia for treatment. Meeks received minor injuries and refused treatment at the scene.

 

50-year-old Nelson woman injured in a Saline County accident Thursday morning

Just before 6 a.m. Thursday morning, 50-year-old Joanne Gregg of Nelson suffered moderate injuries in an accident that occurred on Route “D” just West of 260th Road in Saline County. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Gregg lost control of the 1995 Ford Contour she was driving on ice, traveled off the roadway and struck a tree. Gregg was taken to Fitzgibbon Hospital by private vehicle for treatment.
