On Dec. 9, Pettis County deputies responded to a local motel after receiving information from Sedalia Police about a woman with multiple outstanding warrants.Deputies arrested Kristain J. Ford at 4710 S. Limit just after 12:30 a.m. and took her to the Pettis County Jail on one Pettis County warrant, one Sedalia Police warrant and four Boonvile Police warrants. Her bond was set at $1,000.

On Dec. 8, deputies reported that an assault occurred at the Pettis County Jail between inmates. No other details were provided.

Sedalia Police arrested Ethan L. Stout, 18, of Hughesville, and Bruce D. Revels, 40, of Sedalia, after both were reportedly found in a motel room smoking marijuana at 1217 S. Limit Monday evening. Police issued Municipal citations to both.

John Fizer, 27, Cole Camp, was arrested on 2 Pettis County warrants after police noticed he was parked in the AutoZone lot after hours around 11:30 p.m. He was charged with FTA-misdemeanor and possession of dangerous non-narcotic drugs and transported to the Pettis County Jail on a $300 bond.

Walgreens reported that someone came into the store at 801 S. Limit on Wednesday morning, filled a cart with $250 of items, then left the store without paying. The investigation continues.

Elijah Amari Nash, 20, Sedalia, was arrested Wednesday for receiving stolen property and unlawful use of a weapon after a traffic stop in the 2400 block of W. Broadway for failure to use a turn signal. According to the report, the officer smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. A subsequent search revealed a stolen handgun in the car. Nash was transported to the Pettis County Jail on a 24 hold, pending the filing of state charges.

Jackie D. Gresham was arrested Wednesday morning at 5th and Limit after a traffic stop. Gresham was charged with Driving While Suspended. He was also wanted on a Saline County misdemeanor warrant. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail on a $900 bond.

Demeitrus Thomas Scott, 25, Sedalia, was arrested on a Municipal warrant at 5th and Vermont after a traffic stop Tuesday evening. Scott was transported to the Pettis County Jail with a court date of Jan. 18. His bond was $60.50.

Alex J. McKay, 27, Sedalia, was arrested for shoplifting at Wood's Supermarket on Tuesday night. McKay allegedly concealed a $27.99 bottle of alcohol on his person and walked out of the store without paying for it. When he was confronted by Loss Prevention, he handed the bottle back, but refused to cooperate further and quickly left the area. He was later located near the Katy Depot, 600 E. 3rd, and arrested. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hour hold pending the filing of state charges.
