Sedalia Police Crime Reports for Feb. 8, 2017

Sedalia Police arrested John W. Hunnius, 59, of Sedalia, for felony first degree assault on Monday morning. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $50,000 bond cash or surety.

John William Long, 50, Cole Camp, was arrested by Sedalia Police on a Benton County warrant Monday afternoon at Benton and Moniteau. Long was transported to the Pettis County Jail on a $500 bond with a March 7 court date.

Cathy Rong reported that someone took her wallet containing $350 from the front counter at McDonald's, 3101 W. Broadway, at noon last Friday. The suspect allegedly took her wallet and left the store.

An employee of Fav Trip, 216 W. Broadway, reported finding a baggie of what appeared to be meth in the store on Saturday morning.

Two people were arrested after Sedalia police responded to a disturbance Friday morning in the 600 block of W. 4th Street. Shayla N. Wheeler, and Melvin Edward Osburn, both 19, were taken to the Pettis County Jail on Lee's Summit warrants. Wheeler was held on a $600 bond, while Osburn was held on a $200 bond.
