Sedalia Police reports 6-14-19

Sedalia Police arrested 25-year-old Jade A. Buckner of Sedalia, and 24-year-old Jacob Levi King for possession of drug paraphernalia at 9th and Ohio Wednesday evening after a traffic stop for expired registration. The K-9 unit was deployed and it alerted to narcotics. A subsequent search revealed several pieces of drug paraphernalia located inside the Ford Taurus.


 

58-year-old Cori Lynn Medeiros was arrested and charged with 4th degree domestic assault after the SPD responded to the 1600 block of E. 6th Wednesday around 9:50 p.m. on a domestic disturbance call. Medeiros threatened to harm another individual. She was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail.


 

Two females were arrested after SPD responded to a disturbance at Robinson and Saline Tuesday night around 9:50 p.m. 27-year-old Kalonda Teairria Dean, and 33-year-old Whitney A. Mason were both arrested in the recreation area of Buckner Housing and issued a summons. Dean was charged with assault and Mason was charged with public peace disturbance.


 

Sedalia Police took a report at 6th and Missouri Wednesday around 9:40 p.m. According to the report, the caller said she observed an altercation between and male and female. She then saw the male fire a round as the female walked away. There were no arrests made.


 

18-year-old Abigail M. Sipe of Sedalia was arrested after Sedalia Police conducted a subject check at 4th and Grand around 6:30 a.m. Thursday. She was found to be in possession of a large amount of change in a backpack, allegedly stolen from multiple vehicles. Sipe was taken into custody and placed on a 12-hour protective custody hold at the Pettis County Jail. She was also charged with possession of marijuana.


 

Sedalia Police took a burglary and assault report Wednesday in the 2000 block of E. 14th. According to the complainant, the father of her child allegedly hit her and shoved her to the ground. The suspect claims the victim was injured due to a car accident. 20-year-old James J. Baker was arrested and charged with 3rd degree assault. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail.


 

54-year-old David Braden of Sedalia was arrested and charged with 1st degree sexual misconduct and harassment on Thursday around 2:15 p.m. According to a report, a witness saw a male performing sexual acts at Clover Dell Park, then left the area. The suspect was later contacted and arrested on a prior warrant.


 

Sedalia Police arrested 33-year-old Amber Leigh Vanalstine of Sedalia, on a Texas County warrant Thursday afternoon at Probation and Parole, 205 Thompson. Vanalstine was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $25,000 cash or surety bond.
