Sedalia Police reports 3-22-19

Sedalia Police responded to the Bothwell Regional Health Center ER at 5:37 p.m. Wednesday on a subject with a gunshot wound to his leg. According to a report, the victim said he accidentally shot himself while cleaning his gun. The injury was not life threatening, the report added.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a vehicle check on a car parked at Liquor Locker, 513 W. Main, around 7:15 p.m. Wednesday. According to a report, the passenger, 27-year-old Christie Lynn Petree of Pettis County, was wanted on a Camden County warrant. Petree was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $500 cash bond.


 

On Thursday afternoon at 1:20 p.m., Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a bronze Cadillac with a brake light out at 13th and Marvin. According to a report, the officer detected the odor of marijuana, and a subsequent search revealed two marijuana roaches and a pack of rolling paper. 34-year-old Christopher Micheal Ramirez was given a court date of May 8 and released.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a warrant check in the 200 block of S. Marvin on Thursday just before noon. 28-year-old MaryAnn J. Smasal was wanted on an FTA warrant and was taken into custody. She was transported to the Pettis County Jail on a $60 cash bond.


 

On Wednesday just after noon, the manager at 4125 W. Broadway reported that two females entered the store and started selecting items, and also acting suspicious. The manager said he believes the two walked out of the store after placing items in their purse.


 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested 60-year-old Brenda S. Norwood of Lincoln at 5:42 p.m. Thursday in Pettis County. She was wanted on two misdemeanor warrants out of Benton County. Norwood was taken to the Pettis County Jail.
