SPD crime reports 3-6-17

W-K Chevrolet, 3310 W. Broadway, reported to police on Saturday morning that a 2017 Yukon was damaged on the lot and that the wheels were stolen. Security footage is currently being reviewed, according to the report.


Two Sedalians were arrested after Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a 2000 Chevy Malibu at 2nd and Osage on Saturday. Tucker Smith, 19, was charged with possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and minor in possession of alcohol. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail. Olivia C. Krumwiede, 19, was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. She was issued a summons and released at the scene.


 

On Sunday morning, Montana R. Baskins, Sedalia, reported the theft of $3,000 from a safe. There are two suspects in the case.


 

Blake E. Bennett, 28, Hughesville, was arrested for Driving While Suspended and Possession of Marijuana after a traffic stop for expired registration at 3rd and Prospect on Saturday evening. Bennett was taken to the Pettis County Jail.


 

Austin Scout Gruber, 19, homeless, was arrested and charged with Possession of Meth, Possession of Meth with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Marijuana after a traffic stop at 16th and Osage on Friday night on a black Chevy Tahoe. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail.


 

Sedalia Police arrested Margarito Marcos Quetzecua, 17, Sedalia, after he attempted to steal a 12-pack of Coors Light from Dollar General, 619 N. Ohio, on Friday. He concealed the beer in his backback, but dropped it on his way out of the store. Police later located him in the 700 block of West Cooper using information found in the backpack. He was arrested for shoplifting and now has a court date of March 22.


 

David Mathis, 69, Sedalia, was arrested for Dwi and C&I after Sedalia Police responded to a report of a collision involving a parked car near 13th and Kentucky on March 5. The driver told police he'd had a few to drink since it was his birthday. He also admitted he takes 13 medications. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail for processing, then released on his own recognizance. He has a court date of April 19.


 

Sunset Motel, 31615 S. Limit, reported an attempted robbery that occurred on Saturday at 11:50 p.m. According to the report, the suspect pulled a handgun on the clerk and demanded money. The victim secured herself in a room away from the suspect and was unharmed in the incident. The suspect fled the scene without taking anything.


 

David Dotson, 18, Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Suspended after a traffic stop at Broadway and Osage on Saturday. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail.


 

BreakTime, 318 W. Broadway, reported a gas drive-off around just before 10:30 p.m. Saturday night. The suspects pumped $61.67 of fuel, then left without paying.
