Sedalia Police crime reports 9-11-18

Sedalia Police responded to 1812 South Barrett on Sept. 5 on a call of two males engaged in mutual combat on the front lawn. According to a report, the two live together. Witnesses included other residents of the home. One male had a slight bump on his face from the altercation, but no serious injuries. A 12-hour log was generated of the incident.


 

Sedalia Police arrested 26-year-old Cristobal Lopez Y Lopez after conducting a traffic stop on a blue Ford Expedition for speeding through a school zone at 3rd and Moniteau Monday at 1:14 p.m. A computer check revealed Lopez was operating a motor vehicle without a valid license. He was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released. No court date was noted in the report.


 

Sedalia Police arrested 38-year-old Brian K. Mumby of Sedalia after a traffic stop on a white Chevy for expired plates (February) at 16th and State Fair Blvd. Monday morning at 10:43 a.m. A computer check revealed he was driving while suspended, and he had no proof of insurance. Mumby was taken to the Pettis County Jail with an Oct. 17 court date.


 

On Sept. 7 at 10:17 p.m,, Sedalia Police arrested 18-year-old Jose L. Zaragoza of Pettis County for driving while suspended after a traffic stop for no headlights at 2003 S. Limit. Zaragoza was taken to the Pettis County Jail. He now has an Oct. 17 court date.


 

On Sunday night at 10:26 p.m. Sedalia Police arrested Krystal N. Lindsay of Sedalia after conducting a warrant check in the 700 block of E. 10th. She was wanted on two Laclede County warrants and was also charged with resisting arrest. Lindsay was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a total bond amount of $50,000 cash or surety.


 

On Sunday morning around 11:20 a.m., Sedalia Police conducted a warrant check in the 500 block of Sunset Drive. The suspect, 47-year-old Vernon E. Long, was found hiding behind an appliance. He was taken into custody on a Saline County warrant and transported to the Pettis County Jail on a $10,000 cash bond.


 

Sedalia Police responded to Broadway and Limit on Saturday night at 10:33 p.m. on an intoxicated male walking in the roadway. Upon arrival, officers found 51-year-old Jesse Robert Smith of Sedalia in the Shell parking lot at 1722 W. Broadway. An extraditible warrant was confirmed and Smith was taken to BRHC due to his level of intoxication. He was later deemed fit for confinement and transported to the Pettis County Jail on a $1,500 cash or surety bond.
