Sedalia Police crime reports 9-5-18

Sedalia Police arrested 37-year-old Joshua R. Robinson of Sedalia after he refused to leave Cork 'n Bottle, 3806 E. Broadway on Tuesday. He was found to be intoxicated upon officers' arrival. Robinson was taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center where he was cleared for confinement, then on to the Pettis County Jail for a 12-hour protective custody hold.


 

Antwan I. Steele, 18, of Sedalia, was charged with leaving the scene of an accident after an officer was flagged down at Main and Grand Tuesday at 10:24 p.m. A woman said someone hit her car and left the scene. A short time later, the suspect vehicle was spotted, but the driver was gone. A bit later, the driver was located and taken into custody.


 

Sedalia Police arrested 27-year-old Randy Ray Reed of Sedalia, for trespassing at WalMart, 3201 W. Broadway, at 1:42 a.m. Wednesday. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail where he was booked and released with an Oct. 10 court date.


 

On Tuesday, an employee of Yeager Cycle Sales, 3001 S. Limit, reported a forgery that occurred Aug. 22 to Sedalia Police. According to a report, a female entered the businesses just before close on a Wednesday and bought several items totaling $1,300. The employee wasn't able to confirm the ban account information and later discovered the account, driver's license, address and name were all false. The business is willing to prosecute, the report said. There is no suspect information available.


 

Sedalia Police arrested 22-year-old Kayla D. Martin after a traffic stop on a silver vehicle at Saline and Welch Couty for speeding Tuesday at 12:46 p.m. Martin was a passenger in the car and refused to provide her information to the officer. A computer later revealed she was wanted on a Pettis County warrant. She was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $5,000 cash or surety bond.


 

Sedalia Police arrested 22-year-old Antonio Mateque of Sedalia, after an officer spotted him eastbound on Main at Kentucky Tuesday evening. The vehicle later pulled into Dollar General at 619 North Ohio and the officer conducted a traffic stop. A computer check revealed Mateque was driving while revoked. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail where he was booked and released.


 

Hibbet Sports reported a shoplifting incident involving five suspects on Tuesday around 7:20 p.m. Taken was a total of $40 in merchandise. Investigation continues.
