Sedalia Police crime reports 5-23-17

Michael Taylor, 46, was arrested after Sedalia Police attempted to stop a red SUV that was being driven carelessly at 7th and Grand around 8:20 Thursday evening. The driver fled from police, and the car chase ended at Wilkerson and Missouri, where a foot pursuit began. Officers established a perimeter and deployed the Sedalia K9 unit to track him. He was later found in hiding by K9 and taken into custody without incident near 3rd and Harrison. A computer check revealed the driver was revoked. Taylor was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hour hold. His court date is TBA.


On Monday morning, Nicole Vera Brooks reported property damage to her vehicle while parked in the Bothwell Regional Health Center parking lot, 601 E. 14th, where she works. According to the report, someone entered her car and and rummaged through it, and messed with food left in the car. A suspect was identified, but the Brooks did not want to press charges due to the suspect being a patient at BRHC, the report said.
