The following Sedalia Police crime reports are from the afternoon of Thursday, July 10, 2014.
Early this morning (July 10), Sedalia Police went to the area of Broadway and Missouri patrolling for possible suspects that been breaking into cars. Sedalia Police found three suspects in the area of 7th and Missouri that matched the descriptions that witnesses provided earlier. The suspects fled on foot, when they saw Sedalia Police, and two were apprehended. One suspect was a juvenile and was released to his legal guardian and charges have been referred to the Juvenile Court. The other suspect was identified as 17-year-old Jermie Strobel and he was arrested for resisting arrest and being a minor in possession of intoxicants by consumption.  (According to Sedalia Police a 17-year-old is treated as an adult, under Missouri statute).
Sedalia received information that a Glock 17, Generation 4 9x19 gun was found in a glove compartment of a rental car. The vehicle was impounded earlier in the week, by a different law enforcement agency and was towed.
