Wednesday night, Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for multiple moving violations. The stop occurred in the area of West Broadway Boulevard and South Park Avenue. During the course of the investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated. The subject was arrested, and refused to provide a blood sample. A search warrant was obtained, and a blood draw was conducted. Anthony K. Richardson, 23, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated (Drugs). Richardson was transported to the Pettis County Jail.


 

Thursday morning, Officers were dispatched to a report of an intoxicated driver in the 1000 block of South Carr Avenue. When Officers arrived in the area, they located the suspect vehicle. The vehicle was parked crookedly in the roadway and the suspect was seen stumbling away from the vehicle. During the investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated. A witness stated they had seen the suspect driving the vehicle. The suspect was arrested and transported to the Sedalia Police Department, then to the BRHC for a blood draw. Tonya Alvarez, 60, of Sedalia, was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked in on charges of Driving While Intoxicated.

Sedalia Police observed a male walking through a field that had posted signs of “No Trespassing”. Officers stopped to talk to the male in the 2600 block of West 16th Street early Thursday morning. It was discovered he had a no bond probation violation warrant. Brandon T. Swearingin, 34, Homeless, was arrested for his Probation Violation warrant on original charges of felony Burglary in the 2nd Degree.


 

Officers conducted a vehicle stop in the area of West 16th Street and Clarendon Road Thursday evening. During the course of the traffic stop, it was discovered the driver did not have a driver’s license. Victor Melo, 30, of Stover, was cited for Operator’s License Required. Melo was released to licensed driver, who arrived to pick the vehicle up.


 

Early Thursday morning, Officers responded to the 900 block of South Moniteau in report of a domestic assault in progress. Officers made contact with subjects at the residence, and after a brief investigation, a male subject was arrested. Terrance Allen Cline Jr., 36, of Sedalia, was arrested for Aggravated Domestic Assault in the 2nd Degree, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child in the 2nd Degree. Cline was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on a 24-hour hold. Later, a charge of felony Harassment in the 1st Degree was added to the case. Cline was given a $10,000 cash or surety bond, and instructed to have no contact with the victim.


 

Thursday morning, Officers responded to the 1800 block of South Warren Avenue in reference to a theft from a vehicle. Contact was made with George E. Schnakenberg. Schnakenberg reported a firearm was stolen from his vehicle overnight.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the 2500 block of Greenwood Lane Thursday morning in reference to a domestic disturbance. Officers contacted all parties, but could not determine a primary aggressor. A 12-hour log was made for documentation.


 

Wednesday afternoon, an Officer was dispatched to the Wal Mart store, 3201 West Broadway Boulevard, in reference to a shoplifting incident. Kimberly S. Ballenger, 43, of Sedalia, was issued a citation for Stealing. Ballenger was released with a court summons and the items were returned to the store.


 

Officers took a report of theft from Jonathan Boyer Wednesday afternoon. Boyer stated his debit card had been stolen from the 3900 block of West 9th Street.
