Early Tuesday morning, Officers were dispatched to a “commotion” in the 1500 block of South Barrett Avenue. A report was taken. There was no further information given to the press at this time.

Monday evening, Officers conducted a warrant check in the 1400 block of South Sneed Avenue. Officers made contact with a subject who had an active warrant out of Pettis County. Laura Michelle Chalfant, 47, of Sedalia, was arrested on her Probation Violation warrant carrying two original charges of felony Possession of a Controlled Substance. Chalfant was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked her warrant, pending a bond of $20,000 cash or $20,000 surety.


 

Sedalia Police located a plastic case with costume jewelry in it that had been left at the Sedalia Police Headquarters. The case and jewelry was placed into evidence as found property early Tuesday morning.
