Thursday morning, an assault was reported that occurred in the 1600 block of South Engineer Avenue. The victim wanted to pursue charges and information was gathered.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Police Department lobby for report of harassment Thursday afternoon. Information was gathered from the reporting party, and a report was completed.

Officers responded to the Break Time store, 808 East Broadway Boulevard, in reference to a theft Wednesday afternoon. On arrival, Officers reviewed video footage and were able to identify the suspect. Officers in the area located the suspect, identified as John William Johnson, 52, Homeless. Johnson was arrested for Stealing and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Johnson was transported to the Pettis County Jail without incident.

Wednesday afternoon, Officers did a subject check at West 6th Street and South Kentucky Avenue. Officers made contact with a subject, and a computer check through Dispatch confirmed her to have two warrants for her arrest out of Pettis County. Christie L. Petree, 32, of Sedalia, was arrested for her two Failure to Appear warrants on felony charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance. Petree was booked in at the Pettis County Jail, pending a cash or surety bond of $20,000.
