Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of East 2nd Street Tuesday night in reference to a disturbance. Officers spoke with the parties involved, and a primary physical aggressor was determined and arrested. Jasean Henry, 23, of Sedalia, was arrested for a charge of felony Domestic Assault in the 3rd Degree. Henry was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on 24-hour hold.

Sedalia Police responded to the 800 block of East 4th Street Monday night to investigate a report of an open fire. Upon arrival, Officers made contact at the residence. While speaking with one of the residents, Officers learned that the resident had a probation warrant with no bond. Johnathan Wayne Ayers, 37, of Sedalia, was arrested on his warrant** with no bond. Ayers was then transported to the Pettis County Jail.


 

Tuesday evening, Officers received a phone call for a report in regards to an ex parte violation in the 500 block of South Ohio Avenue. Officers gathered the information from the reporting party and generated a report. Charges of Violation of an Ex Parte are being requested.


 

Monday night, Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was speeding in the area of West 3rd Street and South Barrett Avenue. During the course of the investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated. The suspect was arrested, and then transported to the Sedalia Police Department. There, he provided a breath sample that showed his BAC was above 0.08. Jared W. Sanders, 42, of Sedalia, was arrested on a charge of Driving While Intoxicated (Persistent Offender*).


 

Monday afternoon, Joseph Jones came to the lobby of the Police Department to report a theft. Jones reported money was stolen from him in the 3100 block of Wing Avenue. A report was completed.


 

*While there are several entries in Casenet for a "Jared Ward Sanders" for charges of Property Damage, Domestic Assault and traffic offenses, there are no previous convictions of DWI listed in Casenet under that name.

**Ayer's Probation Violation warrant was not listed in Casenet.
