Wednesday morning, Officers responded to a call regarding a theft in the 1800 block of South Missouri Avenue. The reporting party was concerned their trash receptacles were being used without their knowledge or consent. The reporting party does not wish to pursue charges if the trash cans are emptied by the Sanitation Department.


 

Wednesday afternoon, Officers responded to the Probation and Parole Office 205 Thompson Road, for a subject with a warrant. Contact was made with the suspect, and Dispatch confirmed he had an active Parole Violation warrant for his arrest. Matthew W. Jones, 43, of Sedalia, was arrested for his Parole Violation warrant and transported to the Pettis County Jail. There was no bond set.


 

On the morning of December 13th, Detectives with the Crime Resolution Unit conducted a search warrant in the 900 block of South Kentucky Avenue. During its execution, a subject was found to have methamphetamine in his possession and had hidden methamphetamine on his person. Gaylon Eugene Marshall Jr., 26, of Sedalia, was arrested on charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance, felony Tampering with Physical Evidence, Endangering the Welfare of a Child in the 2nd Degree, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Early on New Year's morning, Officers were dispatched to the 1900 block of West 3rd Street for a report of a disturbance. When Officers arrived, they spoke with the complainant, who had detained a subject. The subject was highly intoxicated, wearing nothing but underwear, beating on his Grandparent's door. Jayden Tyrese Lawson Cheese, 19, of Sedalia, was taken into protective custody. Lawson Cheese was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on a 12-hour safekeeping hold due to his intoxication.


 

Last Friday night, Officers were called to assist with an accident that occurred on South State Fair Boulevard near West 5th Street. When Officers arrived and made contact with the driver, it was determined he was intoxicated. Carlos E. Aguirre Jr., 25, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. Aguirre was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he provided a breath sample that showed his BAC was above 0.08. Aguirre was booked and released at the Pettis County Jail.


 

Late Wednesday night, Officers initiated a traffic stop on a silver Kia van with a headlight out in the 1600 block of East Broadway Boulevard. Officers made contact with the suspect, who stated he knew his license was revoked. The suspect presented a non-driver's ID. Stephen Wayne Hassler, 49, of Sedalia, was arrested on a charge of felony Driving While Revoked. Hassler was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on a 24-hour hold.


 

Sunday night, Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was not properly displaying a registration plate on South Ohio Avenue near East 13th Street, During the course of the investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated. Elizabet Emily Echols, 22, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. Echols was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where she provided a breath sample that showed her BAC was above 0.08. Echols was booked and released to a sober driver.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Casey's store, 1601 East Broadway Boulevard for a report of theft. Upon arrival, Officers made contact with the reporting party and conducted an investigation. Officers generated a report.
