Sedalia Police responded to the Best Western, 3120 South Limit Avenue, early Friday morning in regards to a report of trespassing. After checking the subject’s information with Dispatch, it was discovered she had an active arrant out of Lafayette County for Failure to Appear on original felony charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance. Paula F. Hoskins, 53, of Lebanon, was placed under arrest and transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked on her warrant. The warrant carried a bond of $15,000 cash only.


 

Friday morning, Officers responded to the 1800 block of South Sneed Avenue in reference to an overdose. Officers made contact with the reporting party, who stated a female subject was overdosing in the back seat of a vehicle. Officers administered Narcan on the female, and the PCAD transported her to the Bothwell Regional Health Center.


 

Thursday night, Officers performed an investigative traffic stop on a blue KIA minivan, as the registered owner had a Sedalia municipal Failure to Appear warrant. Officers spoke with the driver, and checked their information with Dispatch. The warrant for FTA was a Nuisance/Health Violation with a $60 cash only bond. Scott Lee Manion, 55, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail.

On the afternoon of May 26th, Officers spoke with a subject in the lobby of the Police Department in regards to suspicious phone calls. The subject told Officers that a male subject had called her friend and demanded money for a ransom. The situation was determined to be a scam. A documentational report was completed.


 

Sedalia Police spoke with Lucas James Nicks in reference to fraudulent bank transactions Wednesday afternoon. The situation was determined to be a civil matter.


 

Police spoke to a victim at the Police Headquarters Wednesday morning about sexual abuse that occurred in Sedalia approximately 15 years ago.


 

Wednesday afternoon, Officers responded to the 800 block of East 9th Street in reference to a possible trespassing. A subject unknown to the resident was sitting on the property and refused to leave. Cheyenne R. Sutherland, 26, Homeless, was arrested for Trespassing in the 1st Degree. Sutherland was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked and released.
