Sedalia Police Reports for March 5, 2024

On the night of February 27th, Officers conducted a traffic stop over a registration violation. The stop was conducted near South Missouri Avenue and West Broadway Boulevard. Upon contact with the driver, he showed signs of impairment. The driver was field tested for Driving While Intoxicated, and failed testing. Jose Juan Torres, 23, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. Torres was transported to the Police Department for processing and was then released with a citation.

Last Friday night, Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle because it had defective equipment. The stop was conducted in the 2900 block of West Broadway Boulevard. Upon further investigation, the driver was discovered to be intoxicated. Mason Dixon Pierce, 24, of Hughesville, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. Pierce was transported to the Sedalia Police Department to be issued a city summons.
