Wednesday night, Officers made contact with a known subject in the area of North Ohio Avenue and East Jefferson Street. The subject was known to have an active warrant for his arrest. In July of 2023, a 2000 APC Motor Company mini bike had been stolen from the 400 block of East Harvey Street. The owner stated she had agreed to sell it to a friend (the suspect), and it was subsequently stolen. The suspect admitted in text messages to the theft, and had allegedly sold it to another individual. A warrant for the suspect’s arrest was issued in October of 2023. A Failure to Appear warrant was issued in February 2024. Noah Jaden Heston, 24, of Fenton, was arrested on his FTA warrant on an original charge of Stealing. During a search incident to arrest, a crystal substance was found. After conducting a test for methamphetamine, the test came back positive. Heston faces new charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Introducing/Concealing a Controlled Substance Into a Jail Facility. Bond on the Stealing FTA was set at $250 cash or surety.

*In the original narrative of the report, the Officer states the incident happened at the intersection of “6th Street and Thompson Avenue”. The streets of East 6th Street and Thompson Avenue do not intersect, according to Google Maps. Thompson Avenue runs right in front of the Katy Depot, but stops at the Katy Trail on East 5th Street. A call to the Records Department stated this probably was a mistake, but that the incident occurred in that general area. Our story reflects the clarification from the Records Department.

**There is not a listing for a “Donald Rodrigues” in Casenet. The warrants in question (23AC-CR01369 and 23OS-CR00008) are listed under the name “Don A. Rodrigues”.
