Sedalia Police Reports For September 1, 2023

Emergency crews were dispatched to the area of Thompson Boulevard and Daryl Drive in reference to an injury accident Thursday afternoon. Investigation revealed a 2017 GMC Terrain, driven by Kearstin Good of Hughesville, was exiting a private lot when it entered the path of travel of a 2019 Kia Optima, driven by Kevin Jones of Green Ridge. The Terrain sustained moderate damage to the front driver’s side with a curtain airbag deployment. The Optima sustained moderate damage to the front passenger side with front airbag deployment. Both vehicles were towed from the scene, and both drivers sustained minor injury. Both Jones and Good were treated on scene.

Thursday morning, Officers were dispatched to a report in the lobby of the Police Department. An assist agency report was requested for the 1000 block of Winchester Drive.

Officers responded to the intersection of East 17th Street and South Montgomery Avenue Thursday night for a report of a vehicle that had crashed into a parked vehicle. After an on-scene investigation, a male was arrested for driving without a license. Ignacio Espinoza Murillo, 26, of Sedalia, was transported to the Sedalia Police Department to be processed, and was then released with a summons.

Thursday night, Officers spoke to two subjects in the 2400 block of South Quincy Avenue in reference to drug related items being found inside a residence. The items were recovered and placed into evidence.

Sedalia Police responded to the 400 block of East 7th Street Wednesday night in reference to a domestic disturbance. Officers were able to identify all parties. State charges are being submitted for domestic violence.

Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of West 3rd Street and South Limit Avenue early Friday morning. After an on-scene investigation, one male subject was arrested for driving without a valid license. Hakeem Stephon Dickson, 26, of Sedalia, was transported to the Police Department, processed, and released with a summons.
