Sedalia Police Reports for September 6, 2023

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 2400 block of South Quincy Avenue in reference to property damage Tuesday evening. Officers spoke with Bennett Tyler Neely, who said his tire had been slit the night before. Neely estimated it would cost $200.00 to replace the tire. No arrests have been made.

Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of West 16th Street and South Grand Avenue on the evening of August 22nd. After an on-scene investigation, two subjects were arrested. The driver, Robert Lee Brandkamp Jr., 41, of Sedalia, was arrested for felony Driving While Revoked. The passenger, Alisha A. McGuire, 39, of Sedalia, was arrested for Possession of a Dangerous Drug and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Tuesday evening, Officers responded to a domestic disturbance in the 2000 block of East Broadway Boulevard. After an on-scene investigation, one female suspect was taken into custody for Domestic Assault. The suspect, who was under the influence of narcotics, then assaulted Officers during the arrest. Shania I. Claxton, 27, of Sedalia, was arrested on charges of Resisting Arrest and Domestic Assault in the 4th Degree. Claxton was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on a 24-hour hold.

The Pettis County Joint Communications informed the Sedalia Police Department early Tuesday morning that the Sheriff’s Office was in pursuit of a vehicle, and was requesting mutual aid. Officers with the SPD were able to deploy Stop Sticks in the area of South Harding Avenue and East Boonville Street. Tuesday evening, Officers responded to the 1800 block of South Barrett Avenue for a report of property damage. Homeowners returned home from vacation, and discovered their property damaged. The on-scene investigation uncovered that a person had backed into their fence line. That person was identified. Both parties agreed to handle the matter civilly. A report was taken on both parties for documentation.

Tuesday morning, Officers spoke with a subject on the phone who stated he had lost his wallet sometime over the weekend in the 2600 block of West Broadway Boulevard. A general information report was gathered for documentation.

Sedalia Police responded to the 600 block of East 12th Street in reference to property damage Tuesday morning. Upon arrival, Officers met with property management, who explained two windows had been shot with a BB gun, causing damage. At the time of the report, a suspect has not been identified.

Tuesday afternoon, Officers responded to the Break Time store, 101 Rebar Road, in reference to a theft. Upon arrival, Officers met with management, who advised that on August 31st, two individuals came into the store and stole two fountain drinks and two snack items. The two suspects have not been identified at this time.
