Wednesday evening, Officers responded to the Burger King restaurant, 1101 South Limit Avenue, for a report of assault. When Officers arrived on scene, contact was made with the general manager’s girlfriend, who stated she and the assistant manager had gotten into an altercation. Contact was made with the assistant manager, who stated she was off the clock and entered the store. Both females got into an argument and an altercation took place. Both wished to pursue charges on each other for assault. Ariel D. Harrington, 28, of Cole Camp, and Jammie Morgan Newland, 22, of Sedalia, were placed under arrest for Assault. Both Harrington and Newland were issued a summons, and then released from the scene.


 

Thursday night, Officers observed a vehicle travelling northbound on South Ohio Avenue that the Officer knew belonged to a suspended driver. Further, the license plates were improper on the vehicle. Officers stopped the vehicle in the area of South Ohio Avenue and West 14th Street. Officers spoke to the driver, checked his information with Dispatch, and then confirmed his suspended status. Travis Eugene Ballew, 43, of Sedalia, was arrested for felony Driving While Suspended. Ballew was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked and released.

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 1400 block of South Grand Avenue Thursday morning for a report of a stolen motorcycle. Garrett A. Hall estimated the value of the motorcycle was approximately $3,200. Identifying information on the vehicle and the attached dealer tag was gathered, and the motorcycle and tag have been entered into the NCIC.


 

Officers were dispatched to the Woods Grocery store, 701 East Broadway Boulevard, for a report of a hit and run accident Thursday afternoon. Information was gathered from Stephanie S. Sneed, and an accident report was completed.


 

Wednesday evening, Officers responded to the Heckart Community Center, 1800 West 3rd Street, for a report of a non-injury accident. On arrival, Officers spoke with the reporting party, who stated while she was in the community center, her car was hit. During the investigation, it was determined that her vehicle was struck by another unknown vehicle. The unknown vehicle left the scene, and has not been identified.
