Sedalia Teenager Injured in Rollover Wreck

An 18-year-old Sedalia woman suffered serious injuries Wednesday morning after the Jeep she was riding in, overturned multiple times.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the accident around 7:40 Wednesday morning, at State Route O and Booneville Road in Pettis County.

According to the online crash report, the driver of a 1999 Jeep lost control of the vehicle, then over corrected, and the Jeep traveled off the right side of the road. The Jeep then overturned multiple times, before coming to rest on its top.

The driver, 16-year-old Faith L. McClain, was not injured, according to the report. However, an 18-year-old passenger, Yui Yamashita, suffered serious injuries in the accident. She was taken to University of Missouri Hospital, by PCAD, for treatment.

The crash report indicates both occupants in the vehicle were wearing safety devices.
