Sedalian Arrested After Leaving the Scene of an Accident

Sedalia Police arrested Joshua E. Coonce, 33, Sedalia, after officers were called to to the scene of a motor vehicle accident Sunday.

According to a report, a 1999 GMC Sierra was located off the roadway with heavy front-end damage. A witness said the driver made contact with him, then left the scene.

The truck was towed from the scene. The suspect was later identified and located.

Coonce was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a a 24-hour hold, pending the filing of formal charges of leaving the scene of an accident and making a false report.
