SEDALIA—The State Fair Community College Theatre Arts Program will present Rich Orloff’s hilarious comedy “Romantic Fools” Sept. 2-4 in the Thompson O’Sullivan Studio Theatre, Yeater Learning Center, Room 126, on the Sedalia campus.
“Romantic Fools” presents 10 scenes in two acts, which consist of comedies examining love, lust, dating, and romance. They celebrate the inherent comedy of male-female relationships, from a date with a caveman, and every man’s worst images of a first date to unraveling wacky desires. The sketches vary in style, and include influences of Monty Python, “Saturday Night Live,” cartoonist Jules Feiffer, the Marx Brothers, and classic vaudeville comedy.
The sketches are rated PG-13 for content and language.
All performances will be at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free; no ticket is required.
