The Sacred Heart golf boys finally had a full team of 12 and traveled south to compete in the Windsor Quad with Windsor, Green Ridge and St. Paul Lutheran.

Despite low temperatures and high winds, the Grems went low and posted their lowest team score of the year with a 179, winning the Quad.

Leading the way for the Varsity was senior (and newly elected team captain), Luke Jenkins who shot a 2 under 38. Next up was Gavin Caldwell who fired a solid 45 followed by Zander Jackson one stroke behind shooting a 46.

Rounding out the varsity was Spencer Aeschbacher with a consistent 50 and Grant Goodwin carding a solid 51. Senior Andres Venegas really turned it on and in only his second match fired a PR 51.

Freshman Tyler Twenter continues to be consistent turning in a 52 followed one stroke behind him was Kaleb Schaffer with a 53. Senior Traven Wheeler improved tremendously PR’ing with a 55 followed by sophomore Thomas Jenkins bringing in a 58.

Rounding out the Gremlins were James Russell shooting a 63 in Austin Perez shooting a 66.

The top six players are headed to Boonville Thursday to compete in the Boonville Masters: 18 holes followed by a fun, nine-hole, two-man scramble.

Sacred Heart competes in the Boonville Invitational today. They take part in the S-C Invitational Monday.
