Should Alex Rodriguez Be Able to Play During His Suspension Appeal? [SURVEY]
According to the Associated Press, Major League Baseball has informed the New York Yankees that third baseman Alex Rodriguez will be suspended as of Monday.
The suspension will last through the 2014 season, but A-Rod will be allowed to appeal the suspension. During that time, he'll still be allowed to play. The Yankees have been trying to distance themselves from Rodriguez ever since reports of the Miami Clinic surfaced earlier this year.
While Alex Rodriguez's lawyers carry out the no doubt lengthy appeal process, he'll still be getting paid his current annual salary of $28 million—or around $172,000 a game—something the Yankees would love to avoid. Manager Joe Girardi has said that if he is allowed to play, he will play him.
