The Smith-Cotton High School Envirothon team competed Thursday at the state competition at the Lincoln University Busby Farm in Jefferson City, finishing in fourth place.

S-C was second in oral presentation, third in aquatics, fourth in current issue, fifth in forestry, sixth in wildlife and 12th in soils. Team members are Katelynn Montgomery, Tyler Boatman, Dylan Miller, Katelin Frame and Sarah Adams.

Pembroke Hill took first place, with California FFA second and Sacred Heart finishing third, less than a point ahead of S-C.
