TFAC1: Vanessa, played by Olivia Smith, bids farewell to her father, portrayed by Avery Mather, in the closing scene of the Smith-Cotton High School Theatre Department’s performance of “Interrupting Vanessa” on Thursday night in the Heckart Performing Arts Center.

The one-act play, directed by S-C junior Krysta Ott, was the department’s Third Annual Theatre for a Cause production, and raised $964 for Strong Tower Orphanage, a nonprofit organization that aids orphaned children in Caracol, Haiti.
